InterLibrary Loan/ Document Delivery Services - Ordering Articles

Use Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services to obtain articles from journals, conference proceedings and monographs. Patents & technical reports can also be obtained through Document Delivery Services. The cost of the service is $1.00/document for regular delivery time (4-10 business days) or $10.00/document for rush orders (1-3 business days), and payment is due at the time of request. (The Library will subsidize up to $25 per document. If a document costs more than $25, Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services will contact you. You must agree to pay the balance before the Library proceeds with the order.)


You will be contacted when your article arrives only if choose to pick up at the Library Circulation Desk. You can also request that the article be mailed to you either On or Off Campus.

To place an order, do the following:


  1. Print out Journal Article Request Form or stop by the Circulation Desk for a copy.
  2. Attach printout from database to form or fill in as much information as you can about the article.
  3. Indicate the preferred delivery method and delivery time.
  4. Fill out patron information completely. You must include contact information (both phone number and email address).
  5. Use a SEPARATE FORM for EACH REQUEST
  6. Drop off form(s), with payment, at the Library Circulation Desk OR mail to Mary Ellen Valverde. (See Office Hours and Staff for address)
  7. You may Fax your order to Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services, 201-216-8319, ONLY if you've made arrangements for payment.
NOTE: If you have a Library Deposit Account, you can place orders online using the Deposit Account Online Journal Article Request form.
